All residents of Vaughan are invited to participate in the creation, development and promotion of the arts to enhance the quality of our lives and celebrate the cultural diversity of our community.

Mission
To encourage opportunities for arts education, public participation and community involvement in the arts in Vaughan. To work with all levels of government, the private sector and members of the public to bring support, development and recognition to the talented artists in the City of Vaughan. To provide pathways for artists and arts groups to be able to contribute their creative talents and energies towards towards the betterment of the quality of life for all residents of Vaughan.

Vision
To create a Vaughan Arts Council to identify, document and network the various local arts groups together and to accomplish this goal by 2007. To establish funding networks and partnerships that will assist in the growth and development of the arts in Vaughan for the benefit of present and future generations.
